Meet Blake: Bentley’s Mom
Hello, and welcome to Forever Bentley. My name is Blake Fish, and I am a grieving mother learning to navigate the life after the loss of my son, Bentley.
Bentley was my whole world—a bright, beautiful soul who brought love and joy to everyone around him. He was full of life, laughter, and boundless energy, despite facing the challenges of Dravet syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. His strength inspired me every single day.
Losing him shattered my heart in ways I never imagined possible. Grief is a journey no parent should have to walk—yet here I am—finding my way through the pain, the love, and the memories that will always remain.
I created this blog as a space to share raw, unfiltered emotions, my daily struggles, and the small moments of healing along the way. While my story is shaped by losing my son to Dravet syndrome, this is for any parent who has lost a child, no matter the circumstances. Grief is isolating, but you are not alone.
Here, I will share my journey—the heartbreak, the love, and the ways I keep Bentley’s memory alive. My hope is that through these words, other grieving parents will find connection, comfort, and the understanding that their child’s love never truly fades.
Thank you for being here. Whether you are a fellow grieving parent, a friend seeking to understand, or simply someone who cares—you are welcome in this space.
With love,
Blake
